Hi tom whats that paste you use on compassion joints great video again
hi tom top draw job again loved the way you did the under sink work and blowing some pipework out of position not easy thing to do the radiators were quality as well glad they worked but had to find out at the end of the video . ( never in doubt) have a good weekend mate
Tommy wear gloves in them lofts sunshine I know you can't wear a mask because of recording but that stuff isn't good . Great video as always .
Nice work as always Tom.
great design.... diverter in the centre 👍
i'm guessing that 1 of the 4 dislikes on this is from the nutter that exchanged the frost stat....
Bang tidy that, Tom. How much did your Press Tool cost mate? Very handy tool is that.
Good to see that job progress Tom, under sink looked very neat, and those tall rads, always a bit of a moment when the heat comes on 🤞they are piped up the right way 👍take care 🚽👍
Looked good Tom. I know how you feel when things work as they should after you've done all that work.
Hi Tom..I dont usually say anything in your videos..mate your pipework is awesome..clean and like art fella
Love the content Tom, Thanks.
Hi Tom, A neat looking job you did under the sink, it is always nice to see a great installation. Loft work is always a pain, I am only small and I struggle, especially these days as I’m getting older. Have a great weekend Tom and as always, take care mate. 👍👍👍
Can you see the light at the end of this one Tom, fantastic work as always 👍
Tom… Really neat job and even installed clips on your pipe work under the sink.. not many would.👍
Again really interesting. 👍
Another great video, nice tidy job under the sink
Hi Tom looking better mate, i always use lightweight coveralls the white one's when in them god forsaken roof spaces, it's better to sweat like a bitch than itch like one
Tom just watching you lie in that insulation is making me itchy mate. Hate the stuff
Lovely nice job as always, Thank you for the video Tom.
Lovely job Tom, good work.
Nice work as always Tom
Great vid Tom, had every faith in you with those two rads 👍
Tidy jobs, Tom
Always an enjoyable vlog Tom, have a good weekend.
Great job Tom 👍😎
Good video Tom
love watching your work Tom...nice one
Any time i'm in lofts the insulation catches in my throat i'ts bloody horrible stuff
Enjoyed that tom.was that a pressurised system and why would the airtaps be required in the loft ?? Thanks tom.
Thanks for watching Paul, it was a pressurised system, air will always collect at a high point, so having some vents makes it much easier to fill a system
Thanks tom
Don’t like loft insulation. Horrible stuff. Like your work.
I hate the stuff as well Ian, thanks for watching as always
Very tidy pipe work Tom, and helping the other on site, nice work, 👍👍👍👍🙋♂️have a good weekend Tom
Thanks for the support as always mate, I always do my best to help others on site, have a great weekend
Thank you for the video Tom another interesting video, nice job have a good weekend my friend!!
Thanks for the support as always Barry, I hope you have a great weekend
hi Tom , nice tidy install under that sink . Hate working in lofts , real pain but got to be done.
Thanks for the support as always Chris, lofts can be a pain especially in the summer months, have a great weekend
Your a leg 🦵 end . As soon as you whipped then lever valves on i knew it was coming 😂. ' ive got control of the system' 👌🏻. I do want a press gun . Just cant justify cost and cost of fittings
Thanks for the support as always Gareth, press is an expensive way of plumbing
It leaks because the rubber washer installed is the wrong way around. I made that mistake too
Any plumbets in the comments ever used checkatrade or similar? Is it any good?
Depends on the condition of silicone beforehand if good crak on 👍👍
I love historical ways of how things were done. I have old engineering books that show how complex jobs were figured out. Nowadays it's been made easier and faster but without that prior knowledge where would we be today. Very interesting. Another great video Tom keep them coming. And thanks Bill from downunder.
No planning with any of these jons thank god o planned and instructed the plumbers myself and made everything accessible for some poor guy in the future
Last time i fitted those radiators they sat on feet so i never had this issue of it sliding down but the problem with designer radiators in general is that they do require more time to fit, they have specific bracket points so if the wall is out which most walls are then it throws the rad out or puts stress on the brackets, basically if your customer is looking for an immaculate look then you better be telling them that their whole property should be perfect first or be prepared to compromise.. Btw its always handy to have a little stock of extra long basket waste bolts you can get them separately in places. The short sink waste kit i would chuck in the bin and fit 2 separate p traps.. looks neater and takes up less room
Hey Tom - We just launched a new plumbing course that helps people with no experience land a plumbing apprenticeship. We see you as an ideal fit to help promote it and we can pay you a base rate per video along with a 45% commission on all purchases. We have some creators making life changing income by doing so... Do you have any time to chat about this opportunity?
Some nice jobs there Tom 👍👍 Don't you just love those phone calls about a job you did years ago.don't always get the correct information from the customers and not told when someone has been messing about 😯
It's nice to collect plumbing memorabilia from years ago makes It very interesting. . Some jobs take a little bit of thinking about .good idea to fit isolation valves on those pump pipes ..why they wasn't fitted before who knows .
Thanks for the support as always John, I always think you can never have too many placed to isolate things
Very kind words from Bill about you Tom. You definitely are a credit to the plumbing and heating world. Love the idea of an old time vintage video 👏👏👏👏👍
Thanks for the support as always Andy
Those kinked flexis😮
Proper genuine guy , great at your job keep these videos up tom 👌🏼
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Pipework was neat fair play but like your customer i couldn't live with them exposed either.
When I originally did this job I upgraded from a one pipe system, the pipes were all exposed and I managed to hide them in every room apart from these. It was agreed that the pipes would be surface due to the flooring and the amount of stuff in each room at the time. I completely get it why they wanted them hiding though, it did look better, thanks for watching
Nice one Bill from down under. Very thoughtful indeed. Thanks Tom
It was a very nice gift, thanks for watching mate
I started in 1973 so I'm just at retiring age now. You wouldn't believe how things have changed. Even putting a wash basin waste in was a big job! Paint ( gloss) and putty round the top of the top of brass waste where it passes through the basin hole. More paint and putty in a sausage shape round the base( careful not to get some wedged in the overflow slot). A home made lead washer next fashioned with a hammer and standard flat blade screwdriver. More putty then the brass backnut. A nightmare to get out 50 years later! I know from experience! .PS . I'm going back shortly to replace 30 Myson trv Rad Valves that I put in 1985.( the last Job I did for a Company before I took the decision to "go on my own" at £5 per hour. I'm still at it but slowly backing off so my son can take over! Do you guys still do leadwork on roofs etc? It was all part of our apprentiship.
Thanks for watching David, I used to do a fair bit of lead work as my old boss was old school, I do bits now just to keep my eye in. I still curse everytime I come across a sink which is made in with putty and lead washers. I haven't had one in a while now though. The other one is where the old basin taps are done with putty as well, nightmare to remove but the taps never came loose
@PlumbLikeTom No silicone in those days! Showers were sealed with grout!
Thank you Tom for the video, how nice that someone from the other side of the world takes the time and trouble to send a gift for your collection top man!!
It certainly was a nice gift, thanks for the support as always Barry
Tom definitely do a historic plumbing video, remember so much what my dad taught me especially how to do lead to copper with his mole skin hat lol. Great video as always mate keep it up
Thanks for the support as always Gary
